Exhibitions

Exhibitions are curated around collections-based research, drawing on primary sources to write clear and engaging narratives. I develop interpretation that brings together objects, context, and storytelling. My approach ensures exhibitions are both academically grounded and accessible, presenting research in ways that resonate with a wide range of audiences.

Multi-Site Displays

Multi-site displays connect collections and narratives across different locations, creating a cohesive experience for visitors exploring a wider site or network of museums. Through careful coordination of themes, objects, and interpretation, I ensure consistency across displays, whilst allowing each space to retain its own character and focus.

Temporary Displays

Temporary displays are curated in response to specific themes, collections, or opportunities, often within tight timescales and limited budgets. I develop displays that are quick to deliver, yet visually impactful through clear interpretation and focused design.

Publications

Publications are written for a range of audiences, from academic journals and specialist magazines to visitor-facing publications within museum settings. This includes developing content for guidebooks, trails, and other interpretation materials, translating research into formats that are accessible and engaging for visitors. Whether writing academic articles or more informal visitor content, I focus on communicating research in ways that are clear, effective, and readable.

Research Practice

Research is collections-based, using both primary sources such as objects and archival material, alongside relevant secondary literature to build a strong evidence base. Through careful cross-referencing of sources and an understanding of best practice, I ensure that exhibition and interpretation content is both accurate and accessible.
