Audits & Cataloguing
Collections audits and cataloguing projects improve the accuracy, consistency, and usability of records, and address backlogs and legacy data. I manage and coordinate teams of staff and volunteers, ensuring a methodical and efficient approach to auditing. I also produce clear, consistent photographic documentation to support cataloguing and condition checking.

Preventative Conservation
Practical, effective approaches to the long-term care of collections combine preventive conservation with safe storage and handling practices. This includes environmental monitoring, integrated pest management, and identifying risks within display and storage environments. I write clear handling procedures, and support and train staff and volunteers to ensure best practice is applied consistently across teams.

Loans & Object Movement
Loans and object movements are coordinated to ensure all processes are carried out to a high professional standard. This includes preparing and reviewing documentation such as loan agreements and condition reports, coordinating transport, and overseeing installation.

Emergency Planning
Emergency salvage plans are developed and implemented for collections. This includes creating clear procedures for incidents such as fire and flood, advising on salvage priorities, and supporting response planning.
